What you get
- MOT status: when it runs out, how many days are left, the earliest date you can test and keep the same renewal date, and a one-tap calendar reminder.
- Mileage: every reading recorded at an MOT on a chart, the average miles a year, and a clear warning if a reading ever went down.
- Every advisory and defect, labelled by how serious it is and linked to the part of the test it comes from.
- Buying used? Questions to ask the seller, based on the car's own history, such as repeat advisories that may still need fixing.

Common questions
Is this MOT check free?
Yes. There's no charge and no sign-up. The records come from DVSA's MOT history service.
Where does the information come from?
From DVSA's MOT history records, which cover cars, motorcycles and vans tested in Great Britain since 2005 and in Northern Ireland since 2017. More about our sources
Can it tell me if a car is clocked?
It shows every mileage reading recorded at an MOT and flags any that are lower than an earlier one. A drop is a warning sign, not proof: a replaced instrument cluster or a typing error at the test can cause one too. How to read it
Does it show finance or write-offs?
No. MOT records don't include outstanding finance, insurance write-offs or stolen markers. Those need a paid vehicle history check.
